Group Therapy
Healing through community and connection
There can be so much power and healing that takes place in a group setting.
I understand that the thought of sharing with people that you don’t know can be intimidating, but I have witnessed that if you trust the process it could be worth it.
Group counseling can provide a means of support and also validation for some of the concerns you may be having or the experiences that you have had.
It can be a place where self-awareness is increased by the interaction with others and an opportunity to see situations through the eyes of other people all in a safe, non-judgmental, and therapeutic space.
Groups are offered a few times out of the year.
Uncover Your Attachment Style
A group made for black women, facilitated by a black woman. A place to process your individdual attachment style, receive validation, and and work towards the woman you want to become. In an unstructured unplanned environment, a space has been created for us as black women to just BE, not do. An invaluable experience of incorporating laughter, conversation, and self-awareness through the ultimate healing vessel of connection and interaction. The truth is: We all need people no matter how many times we try to convince ourselves that we don’t. This group is for Black women who are motivated to put in the work ages 18 and up. Fill out the form to be notified when this group becomes open for new members.
The Girls Room
There can be so much pressure to “fit in” during those early developmental years. Experiences in middle school and high school can leave lasting impressions well into adulthood. It is a time that involves so many new experiences, changes, and social pressures that it can lead to extreme effects on their mental health, self-esteem, and self-worth. The girl’s room is set on prevention and will focus on building self-esteem, resilience skills, and identity that she can take into her adult years and thrive instead of repair. This is a 6-week group for girls in middle school.
